FAQs

What exactly do you do and how did this start?

I've always been a crafty, creative person. When it comes to personalization, I started making things with vinyl. About 5 years ago, I expanded into the world of sublimation and that's really where my heart is. You can do so much with it and you have a truly professional product. During this time I've had trial and error, I've googled till I couldn't google anymore, I've taken online courses, and I've learned to invest in professional grade equipment and materials. So here I am, offering my services to you. My hope is to make you something special, something unique, something that makes you smile or makes you proud when you look at it. I've been a high school Spanish teacher, a stay at home mom, a Spanish translator, and a Spanish tutor. I still work part time as a translator and a tutor, but I've also found a lot of joy in this journey as a small business owner. I have space a dedicated space in my home where I create all the things.

What is sublimation?

Sublimation is a printing process

What can you sublimation print on?

I can print on any hard products that have a polymer coating and are designed to work with sublimation printing. There are dozens of such products. If you don't see something in my catalog, just ask. I might be able to find it on the market. Because these products are specifically designed for sublimation, I can't just print on something that you pick up from a local store. You know those photo gifts you can buy online? Things like mugs, ornaments, keychains, puzzles, coasters? That's the kind of stuff I make. I use the same technology and use the same quality materials that those big name companies use.

What about shirts? We want shirts!

I create shirts with either sublimation printing, vinyl, screen print transfers, or direct to fabric transfers. Simply said, it's complicated. They all have their place in the industry. I'll recommend the best option after I learn more about your project.

Sublimation- great option if you need a shirt fast, you don't like the feel of vinyl on top of your shirt, and you're cool with white or light grey shirts. Sublimation dyes the fibers of the fabric so there's the image will never peel or crack. The shirts are polyester, which not everyone likes, but I only sell shirts that have a nice feel to them. Design can have any level of detail.

Screen Print Transfers- The most budget friendly option when you're ordering 50+ shirts and the design only has one color. They can be applied to any shirt, any color. You might prefer a lower cost Gildan shirt or a premium Bella Canvas shirt. It's up to you!

Direct to Film Transfers- I do love this method. Designs can be detailed and applied to any shirt, any fabric. Professional quality and holds up nicely. It is a transfer, so you can feel it. Any transfer or vinyl will feel a bit heavy if it's a large, blocky image. I prefer to create designs that have some empty space throughout the image where the shirt peeks through.

Heat Transfer Vinyl- You need a shirt in a hurry and the design is simple with only 1 or 2 colors. This is a great option for just text. I do have a particular fondness for glitter vinyl if you could use a little sparkle. Any shirt color fabric or color can be used.

Who is your customer?

-Individuals looking for a unique gift. Sometimes they know what they want, sometimes they describe who the gift is for and I come up with an idea. My customers make me laugh with their outrageous ideas and inside jokes. They make me smile at their thoughtfulness. They make me cry when I make their memorial keepsakes. Whatever you make me feel, I love to get a glimpse into your world and see what and who is special to you. I love to be a tiny part of your special celebrations and your heartbreaks even if it's from a distance.

-Businesses looking for branding and merchandise. There are lots of places online where you can order merchandise, but there are a few reasons why I might be the right fit as a partner for your business. When you work with me, you get me. I want you to be happy and I want to be proud of what I'm providing you with. I'm easy to work with. I don't have crazy rules, minimum order quantities, and set up fees. You can order just one of an item to see what you think. It doesn't have to be 500, although we can do that too. I can't always compete with those massive companies, but we can talk about options and see what's possible.

-Fundraisers. Similar to working with businesses, I want fundraisers to be easy. I have a special place in my heart for educators and kids, especially teenagers. I'd love to be a part of your fundraising efforts. It will depend on the details of the fundraiser, but you can expect around a 30% profit. I'm flexible with how your fundraiser is run. We can set up an online shop on my website for your fundraising sale where your customers can order direct. You'll just need to handle product distribution. For even better profit margins, you can order a bunch of something, pound the pavement to sell it, and reorder when you need to restock.
